Child Safety Standards

Codetik has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out the standards everyone using Codetik must follow, how we enforce them, and how to reach us.
What Is Prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, AI-generated, or code-produced imagery.
- Sexualisation of minors in tiks, code, text, assets, usernames, profiles, comments, or messages.
- Grooming, sextortion, solicitation, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
- Trafficking of minors, or promoting, facilitating, or linking to any of the above.
This applies to everything on Codetik: published tiks and their forks, profile details, comments, and any message sent through the platform.
Age Requirement
Codetik is not intended for children under 13, as stated in our Terms of Service. We remove accounts we believe belong to a child under 13 and delete the personal data associated with them.
How to Report
- In the app: open Settings → Contact and send us a message with a link to the tik, profile, or comment.
- By email: legal@codetik.dev — include the link and a short description.
Do not attach or forward the material itself. CSAE reports are prioritised over every other kind of report.
How We Respond
- We review CSAE reports on priority and remove violating content once confirmed.
- We permanently ban the accounts involved and block re-registration where we can.
- We preserve the relevant account and content records for law enforcement.
- We report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authority — NCMEC for the United States, and the Polícia Judiciária in Portugal, where Codetik is operated.

Our designated child safety point of contact is legal@codetik.dev. We answer law enforcement agencies and child safety organisations at the same address.
Compliance
We comply with applicable child safety laws in the countries where Codetik is available, and we review these standards as the platform and the law change.
